For the first time in a generation, all 43 of James Carling's original 1882 illustrations for "The Raven" will be on display. Don't miss this opportunity to see these unique drawings by a little known master who died aged 29 in 1887.

The drawings will be on display on both floors of the Exhibit Building. The second floor of this building is still known as the Raven Room because the illustrations hung there until their removal and replacement with photographs in the 1970s. Because the drawings are sensitive to light exposure, they will go back into storage at the end of the exhibit, so don't miss this chance to see them.

Mark your calendars for the return of the Edgar Allan Poe Young Writers' Conference, a week-long residential writing experience for high school students who have completed the ninth grade. Conferees will spend the week perfecting their writing craft with the help of professional editors, journalists, poets, playwrights, and novelists. When not busy with seminars and workshops, participants will enjoy a unique immersion in Poe's world by touring Poe sites and visiting some of the world's best collections.
