Lecture: Richard Kopley Speaks about The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym Richmond VA
Poe Museum
Edgar Allan Poe only wrote one novel, The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, the strange and thrilling tale of a voyage to the South Seas. The book inspired a sequel by none other than Jules Verne and a novel by H.P. Lovecraft, but Pym is seldom read or understood today. Poe researcher Dr. Richard Kopley of Penn State University believes Pym is an enormously important work that, upon close inspection, reveals clues about Poe's life. Kopley will present some of his research in this enlightening talk at the Poe Museum.
